Potenza Performance Challenge 2012: 17 Nov 2012 @ DA

Ladies & Gentlemen,

We are pleased to announce that the date for the Potenza Performance Challenge 2012 has been announced and there are some great prizes up for grabs

The BMW Club UAE has been invited to nominate seventeen (17) drivers for 3 different activities which will be held on the day. The allocations will be as follows:

1) Potenza Driving Challenge: 10 names
2) Potenza Driving Lesson: 2 names (this is very similar to what 4 lucky fellows experienced a few weeks ago)
3) Potenza Parade: 5 names

Here are some further details:

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ THE T&C's TO MAKE SURE YOU QUALIFY

1. POTENZA DRIVING CHALLENGE (3 activities: Auto Test / Skid Pan / Time Attack)

Time: All day in stages, arrive no later than 8am
Prizes: 1st place – Renault Clio 2.0 RS 2012
2nd place – Audi R8 Experience at Dubai Autodrome
3rd place – Audi R8 Experience at Dubai Autodrome


Terms & Conditions
1. Participants must be 18 years or above
2. Participants must hold a valid UAE driving license
3. No existing professional driver’s license registered with ATCUAE will be accepted
4. Participant must be able to drive a manual transmission car
5. Participants must sign a disclaimer provided by Dubai Autodrome
6. Participants must pre-register and pay a non-refundable fee of AED 300 before the event
7. Participants must arrive 30-45 minutes prior to their assigned driving session
8. Late registrants will be immediately disqualified
9. The racing competition is a knock-out format. 100 participants will enter Stage 1, 20 participants will enter Stage 2, 3 participants will enter Stage 3
10. Participants that enter Stage 3 must pay a security refundable deposit of AED 5,000 (by cash/card) to Dubai Autodrome in case of accident damage
11. Participants must wear covered/closed toe shoes and appropriate attire (e.g. trousers, denim jeans, no national dress)


2. POTENZA DRIVING LESSON

Time: 2.00pm – 5.30pm, arrive by 2.00pm max

Bridgestone invites you to put your driving skills to the test with our exclusive POTENZA Driving Lesson. It’s fun and it’s the best way to learn the basic driving skills needed to be an advanced driver. You’ll be driving an Audi TT, equipped with high performance POTENZA tyres.

Terms & Conditions
1. Participants must be 18 years or above
2. Participants must hold a valid UAE driving license

5. Participants entry is FREE
6. Participants must arrive on time, late registrants will be immediately disqualified

3. POTENZA PARADE

Time: 8am sharp
Prize: 1st place – Yellow Hat voucher worth AED 10,000

Terms & Conditions
1. Car must be fitted with POTENZA tyres – this must be verified by the Club President/Leader
2. Each entrant must submit a list of car specifications, list of car modifications, image of the car and image of POTENZA tyres on the car
3. Car must be registered with RTA
4. No SUV’s / trucks will be eligible
5. The cars must arrive at 8am on 17th November at the race & drive school, Dubai Autodrome
6. One winner will be selected by a public voting system on the day
7. The car with the most votes wins the prize

The Meeting point for all the events are the Race & Drive School, Dubai Autodrome

I just noticed its a 300 AED fee to participate in the challenge and only 20 out of 100 go to the 2nd round with the 1st being just a bunch of cones. Steep price when the event is supposed to be sponsored by Potenza...
