Guys, another motorsport weekend on the 27th and 28th of Feb, those who attended the last club stand know what to expect. Only this time it's bigger :taser:

We are just a couple of weeks away from the ‘Weekend of Thunder’ – Speedcar and National Race Day 5 on the 27 & 28 February, 2009. This has been changed from the Grand Racing weekend, but our marketing plan hasn’t changed and we are following it aggressively hoping to have a large turnout over the big weekend. As you must have guessed already, we want you ALL back to participate with us during the weekend. You will be back in the Paddock for parade laps and will have your own zones for the display. We are constrained by space so there will be a limit on the cars that can be displayed in the Paddock. But just as much as we know how much you love being a part of it and the parade laps, the whole affair was getting monotonous and slightly boring.
So what is different for the clubs with this Race meet?
Competition: Let’s make things more interesting and have some competition between the clubs. There will be 2 main categories (the category names are still provisional)
1) Best Presented Car Club of the weekend – voted by the driver’s of the Yellow Hat Touring car championship
2) Best Car of the Weekend – judged by a select panel of Speedcar driver’s
Both these prizes will be given out only on the Saturday 28th February, 2009. The car’s that would want to enter the competition for the ‘Best Car’ will have to register with us. The registration is free of cost but the club coordinator/ President will have to email us regarding the entry. Each club can enter a maximum of 3 of their BEST cars in the competition.
What do you win?
Best Presented Car Club of the weekend – Trophy presented by dignitary + certificate+ Laser tag experience for 20 people (10 in a team) at the Indoor Kartdrome.
Best Car of the weekend – Trophy presented by dignitary + certificate + 2 x single seater experience voucher
Certificate of Appreciation: Each participating member will also get a Certificate of Appreciation on Saturday. Please send in all your participating member’s names (only car owners) to ease the printing process.
Special Club Track Day Offer: If you are a car club member (you have to prove it using a membership ID or the President of the respective club has to authorize), you can pay and book on the event days (27&28 February) for track night at a 25% discount. This special track night is on the Club circuit on the 12th March 2009. We can provisionally book your place, if the club coordinator sends the list through an email but this will be confirmed only after the payment during the event days. Use this as an opportunity to get your novice session out of the way; before we launch the Car Club Track Day’s on the National, International and GP circuits soon.
Standard club circuit track day (evening) – AED 600 for 3 x 20min session
Discount (25%) – AED 150

This rate can be used for booking only for the dates specified.
Kartdrome incentive: All participating clubs over the weekend will be given a special club offer for one day of exclusive activity for your club at the Indoor Kartdrome. We will follow up with more details.
Food Voucher: We will arrange for certain number food vouchers for every club.
Invitation: The grandstand entry is only through invitation but the Paddock is free access for all (once inside the venue). You will have to inform us how many invites you will require for your respective members, friends and family, so that we can have this sorted out for you.
