Man it was no joke driving tonight!! I had to pull over to the road shoulder....I COULD NOT, COULD NOT, see the road! And my brother hit his front right rim against the "invisible" sidewalk...It was that bad tonight and I can't risk the safety of 50+ cars driving to Al Ain and back. It's no fun putting your DSC off in these conditions btw...

If it doesn't rain on Friday, then that's fine but it's a slim chance it wouldn't. It might be fry-pan dry in Al Ain, but it's getting there and then coming back that are of concern to us organizers. It's not wise to turn our backs to the weather forecasts and what I've just experienced outside.

Weather forecasts (which proved mighty correct tonight) + 50+ cars + the risk of buying all the BBQ stuff and then saying: "oh, we really should've cancelled!" on the day all add up to the decision...

As grand and fun the event is as I regret this decision. But management sucks sometimes guys and this is one of them days. We'll only reschedule to another day.

Hope you'd understand our reasons :)

I agree Al Ain is cloudy, but its not as cloudy as you guys hear from the forecasts, its somewhat sunny during the day + the chances of rain are very less here in Al Ain, its raining only in the Northern part of Emirates, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain are dry.. Think about it once again before calling it off, its cloudy but chances of rain are too less.. :dunno:
