Electronical Echasut Valve Cutout / Bypass

So as inspired by Ehssan, and requested by AK, this is a small review of the exhaust cutout valves.

I have installed the Cut off valves on my E92 M3... The cut out valves are By-pass valves that will make the car a straight piped car...

Below is the pic for the CUt out valves;

The valves are installed on the exhaust system wherever you feel is better.. Many preference in here.

-Before the Last mufflers (safe and easy)

-Or Before the middle muflers/cats (Little space in here to do so, and the risk of having a CEL.)

BMW, have somehow, been using this technic to make the car warm faster from a cold start by using a valve in the muffler which is closed totally when cold. In the E46 the easiest way to get more sound from the exhaust is to do the Gulf-T upagrade, where it will keep that valve open all the time by removing the air pipe from the valve and manually pushing it open.

The Electonical Exhaust Valve / Cutout/ Bypass is basically installing an electorincal valve which would allow you to open this valve whenever you want, where you want, to the preferred preference.

hani i dont understand how this thing works. so if 2 pipes come out a typical V8. this means you will 2 of those, then once you install them on both sides they restrict the flow of air in those pipes through the flaps??

if that's the case then they are restricting air to reduce the noise right?

Yea Bro.. Refer to the second picture above....This is almost how my M3 looks like now...

When the valve is closed, the air will escape through the mufflers normally and the sound will be stock...

Once you open the valve.. The air will escape through the valves, Disgarding the mufflers, hence increasing the sound (will act like you have removed the mufflers)

Svc History

A little help required
Recently saw a Z4 MC at a dealer.
The car has a vague service history, with missing stamps and bills and receipts not loged in the service book. But that is typical here, they tend to forget to enter details in books.
From what i could gather the vehicle has been purchased from AD Motors + has had some repairs from there.

Is there a fellow member on the forum from AD Motors or do we have a contact that may be able to provide me the details. All i need to check is when was the car last serviced there so i can tally it with the current mileage.
Calling them will be a nuisance as I am not the original owner.
