I'm new to the whole SLR game, I have a colleagues here at work, we talk almost every day and I always knew he had a serious camera from seeing it at previous events, I told him I was interested in buying an SLR camera and he brought his up, so it’s a Canon 50. I have done my research and it seems that is one good camera (according to the reviews), maybe not for beginners but in general.
The question is, would you know what is a fare price for a camera with a 18-200 canon lense? used for less then a year.- E82, 1M - Current

From my experience, for beginners, Id suggest getting the Canon 1000D, its very user friendly, it will help you learn photography's basic features with time..
Only down side, it doesnt have a video feature..

I have considered lower range models, and I went to a Canon store and tested them out and compared, felt like little things like video, mega pixel, and few other options that i might regret not spending that extra thousand or two for. I checked the lense 18- 200 the one that comes with the camera alone at Carrefour was about AED 3200. and he is giving me the lense, extra batt, tripod, bags few other thing for just over the price of lense alone.Last edited by S.BAKI; 13-06-2011, 01:31 PM.- E82, 1M - Current
