Actually I like the old hotpursuits. I tried the new 1 during the game exhibition at Festival City and it turned out to be boring.

You don't feel the car is behaving like a real car on a real road. You feel its glued and sticky to the ground which makes you able to do a turn while doing 220km/h.

There is a big difference between simulation games and arcade games.

I believe we are comparing an arcade game with a simulation game.

This is not an apple to apple comparison.

Live for speed goes on top of all. You can tune the following things in your car:
                            -Spring Damping force
                            -Each gear's ratio
                            -Final Drive ratio
                            -Type of Diff
                            -Diff lock and coast
                            -Brakes & brake ratio
                            -Spring rebound damping
                            -Anti-roll resistance
                            -ABS
                            -Traction Control minimum speed
                            -Traction Control allowed percentage slip
                            -Rear wing angle
                            -Front splitter angle
                            -Suspension stiffness
                            -Each wheel's toe & camber
                            -Steering lock

the GT physics engine is not right I agree with Rifo, the game is great from other aspects like having a big number of cars, big knowledge data base and alot of text explaining how stuff works...etc
the list of best simulator games I have ever played will be:
1- Colin McRae (any of them, it feels natural on tarmac and dirt)
                              2- Grid
3- Driver (although it is not a racing game but it was fun and the car feels natural)

the crappiest is NFS for sure
I am the Japanese spy in the BMW club :joking: :D
