    Tires for X5

    Hi Friends

I am new to this forum and will like your guidance with tires for my X5 - 2007. Fitted with 21' RIMs spoke design 215.

Presently having below Staggered sets - Dunlop

    Front - 285/35ZR21
    Rear - 325/30ZR21

The only option I am getting after checking many tire dealers are for Dunlop and best deal of Dhs 7000/- for all 4 :scared: I was wondering whether there are any other options and at better price.

I have also read in this forum that normal tires are better than run flat. So was wondering if changing to normal will hamper any performance in this hoooooot weather and which makes less noise.:?-.-

    Thanks Guys

    Hi Aj,

The RFT's are hard compound and with time they get noisy. I'd recommend shifting back to normal tyres. They will be on the expensive side too considering the size and performance requirements.

you can check with our sponsor Pirelli as well as other suppliers for a quote on normal tyres. Pirelli offers discounts of 25% to our GOLD members.

    Thanks

      Thanks Wazif

Just checked with them, they only have front tires in stock - run flat only, YOM 2014.

Seems real tough to find tires for 21 :( non run flats.

      Tks

First of all thank you very much Wazif & Hassan for the info provided.

Tried all and the only available options are Dunlop - Run flat. Strangely normal tires for 21' is not available. Seems have to exchange RIM size if need tires .. LOL :D

Just a quick one guys....I'm getting a good deal from Dunlop. The catch is its YOM is 2014. But they will give 5 years warranty. Is it a good deal ?

I would not put Dunlop on any car. Its a horrible tyre.

Existing tires are of following size

                Front - 285/35ZR21
                Rear - 325/30ZR21

But I am ready for any alternative as long as long as it can fit on my RIM which is 215 spoke design 21‘

                Tks

I have no idea bro. But I checked online and found below information based on my RIM design

                    Front - 10 J x 21
                    Rear - 11.5 J x 21.

Not sure whether this is of any help or the information you are asking for.
