Over sized tyres = Cruise control not working

I believe the system calculates that the front wheels are not moving at the same speed in relation to the rear wheels.

Would it help to over size the front tyres as well.

Tell your friend to activate the cruise control at a higher speed than what he would normaly do.
Is there any warning lights on the check control?
You might have to re-calibrate DSC/LATERAL and LOGITUDINAL sensor's!
You sure it was working before?

He has tried to activate the cruise control at various speeds, but it does not help. It engages but then disengagess after a few seconds.

There are no warning lights or messages.

It was working before he changes the tyres. He was running 285/35/19s earlier.

What is the technical reason for this failure? Is there an easy way to calibrate the sensors.
