The BMW M2 (F87) has now officially appeared in U.S. BMW dealer computers and the info shows that the M2 coupe will begin production earlier than we previously reported.
Earlier info showed that production for the M2 would begin in November 2015 for the EU/UK and in March 2016 for the US market. But the internal build sheet is now showing that production for the US market will also begin in November this year!
Our most recent info indicates that the M2 will be powered by a new updated N55 engine (N55B30T0) good for approximately 370-380 PS (365-375 HP). The prototypes have been tested with both manual and auto (DCT) transmissions.
